A restaurant at the cellars is available for guests. Many homemade products and other memorabilia are for sale.

C2. Community
Most permanent and temp staff are locals. On-the-job training is provided in different areas as required. Remuneration is in accordance with the labour law for farm workers. Local suppliers are supported for all stock. Local functions and gatherings are often hosted. The restaurant is open for the public.
C3. Customer
Authentic experiences are promoted (wine tasting, veld walks and trails), local functions and gatherings are supported and often hosted.
There is a target market (“Swallows”) with guests returning more than once.
C4. Company
The auditors did not peruse any confidential financial documents.
Competent financial planning is in place. Sound management of money matters is obvious.
Welcome to Die Mas at Kakamas (Die Mas)
Vlok and Welna Hanekom farms on Die Mas at Kakamas on the bank of the mighty Orange River in the warm Northern Cape where the hearts of the people beat as warmly. Here you will find people with their own specific characteristics who are filled with joy for every raindrop.
During recent years the river surprised us with fearsome high waters – so bad that the islands disappeared and reappeared.
Come and walk with us on our walkway from the Wine Cellar and feed the little animals along the arbour. Visit our Wine Cellar with its award-winning brandies, gins and wines and eat sociably at our Koker kitchen. We relax on a deck with a view of the vineyards and the river. We would also like to surprise you with our underground maturation cellar for brandy.
Here, in this arid landscape, we have a surprisingly grassy and tree rich camping site and overnight houses. You can also view the largest camel thorn tree in South Africa and count the tortoises in our tortoise enclosure.
We gladly invite you to visit us.
